Mr. Zhang, a 62-year-old patient, had suffered from Parkinson's disease for over a decade, primarily with stiffness.

Mr. Zhang used to work in the pig skin business. Before he became ill, he often drove around in his own car. One day, while stuck in traffic, he suddenly felt weakness in his legs and tremors when he stepped on the brakes. Frightened, Mr. Zhang immediately visited a local hospital, but his condition remained undiagnosed. As his disease progressed, his limb symptoms became increasingly severe. He found it difficult to drive, even to carry out normal activities at home. He also struggled to eat well, turn over in bed at night, and even had difficulty sleeping. Mr. Zhang embarked on a long and arduous search for medical treatment, traveling first to Jinan and then to Beijing. He was finally diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

After his diagnosis, Mr. Zhang initially began medication. Initially, the medication controlled his symptoms, and he believed his condition was treatable and could be cured with medication. However, over time, his medication dosage gradually increased, but its effectiveness gradually diminished, and his side effects became increasingly pronounced. The medication took increasingly shorter and shorter to work, and even when it did, it was accompanied by severe dyskinesias. When it wasn't working, it was truly excruciating. Muscle stiffness spread from the limbs to the midline, and even the abdominal muscles, contracted, were often excruciatingly painful, making it difficult to get out of bed.

Mr. Zhang, a strong-willed man, went from being the family's breadwinner to a patient unable to care for himself and constantly needing care. The pain was immense. Furthermore, with a young grandson at home, his wife felt overwhelmed by the burden of caring for both him and the grandson.

The limb symptoms severely impacted Mr. Zhang's mental well-being, and his continued lack of improvement after numerous medical consultations left him increasingly anxious.

While visiting various hospitals in Jinan, Mr. Zhang heard about DBS surgery, which could improve Parkinson's disease. He had always hoped it could be a treatment, but was repeatedly denied due to various issues, including medical insurance and availability. Finally, after the examination at Qianfoshan Hospital, everything went smoothly. Director Zhang Rongwei of Qianfoshan Hospital introduced Mr. Zhang to Jingyu Medical's new generation wireless remote pacemaker, explaining that it can be remotely programmed. Using Jingyu Medical's remote follow-up device, the "ChuanTai," Mr. Zhang could easily connect with the doctor, perform programming, and adjust parameters from home, saving him the time and energy of traveling back and forth. Mr. Zhang was overjoyed. He always needed his sons to accompany him, as both of his sons own factories, and time is money. According to Mr. Zhang, each trip, not to mention the round-trip travel expenses, took one to two days. For his sons, this meant missing work at the factory for two days, a significant loss. Now, with the "ChuanTai," he can communicate face-to-face with the doctor at home, eliminating the need for his sons to accompany him.

Mr. Zhang successfully completed the surgery on March 21, 2018.

One month after the surgery, Mr. Zhang's limb stiffness was significantly alleviated. He was able to move freely and walk and turn like a normal person, and he felt instantly relieved. He had previously struggled to stand up, but now he can basically take care of himself. The medication lasted significantly longer, and his dyskinesias were largely alleviated. Mr. Zhang was very satisfied with this significant improvement, and his mood suddenly brightened. The whole family breathed a sigh of relief. Mr. Zhang expressed his admiration for the superb medical skills of Directors Zhang and Sun of the Neurosurgery Department at Qianfoshan Hospital. The initial results were remarkable, and Mr. Zhang happily returned home to Binzhou with the Time Traveler.

After returning home, Dr. Li Cuiling of Qianfoshan Hospital made several further adjustments to Mr. Zhang's treatment at home using the remote control device, based on his medication usage and motor symptoms. Mr. Zhang is now able to basically live a normal life, his complexion has improved, and he feels refreshed. In his free time, he rides his bicycle and plays mahjong with neighbors. Mr. Zhang was amazed that Jingyu Medical's remote equipment allowed him to connect with doctors far away in Jinan without leaving his home, greatly reducing the trouble of traveling and waiting for treatment. It is truly a good high-tech product.
